Introduction
In our community our neighbors include the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo Native Americans. Have you ever wondered who they are or where they fit into the big picture of other Native Americans? We will soon discover what geographical area the Ysleta del Sur Native Americans belong to and what other states our neighbors have connections to.
Task
- We will hunt the internet for similarities between the Ysleta del Sur Native Americans and other Native American tribes then create a concept map to show research and present to class.
- We will then create a diorama depicting the dwelling of these tribes to display in class.
Process
1. Students will group up in predetermined groups of two.
2. Students will then look into the Pueblo tribes and determine if the Ysleta Del Sur Pueblo Indians, are in comparison to other pueblo tribes. This link can be helpful to view information regarding pueblo tribes. They can compare with this site to see similarities and differences.
3. Once research has been compiled students will access spicynodes to create a concept map depicting their research on the similarities of the Ysleta Del Sur Native Americans to other Puebloan tribes.
4. Students will then reconstruct a dwelling of the Pueblo tribes, either modern or historical based on their research.

Conclusion
At the end of this assignment, students will understand why the Ysleta Del Sur Pueblo Native Americans are similar to other Pueblo tribes, focusing on their dwellings to be able to create their diorama. They will also be able to navigate their concept mapping presentation as well the the internet for research purposes with little to no problems.
